Ricardo Ginés

Ricardo Ginés is now leading Tactical Tech's Archive project — physically as well as online. He has been working with this NGO previously, specially regarding its investigative segment, Exposing the Invisible, as his background is not so much one as an archivist, but rather as a journalist.

Previous to the archiving, working specially in projects related to investigative journalism. Besides that and mainly due to the Corona-epidemic, he opened himself a new field of interest and research: studies on libraries and archives. Slowly, he started to see the common ground between archiving and investigating.

Originally from the Basque Country, Spain, he studied philosophy and political science in Germany, where he began publishing at the age of 22 and worked as an assistant editor at the Berlin based magazine "Lettre International". He afterwards spent 11 years based in Istanbul as a foreign correspondent for newspapers, magazines, radio and appearing in live interviews for TV broadcasts.
